Welcome to my personal website!

This website is complementary to my professional website in that it gives a more comprehensive view on my science interests and achievements over almost 30 years of professional experience in the exciting interdisciplinary field of biomedical imaging science, in particular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). My key interest and expertise is to conquer into new fields and bring new activities to life.

For more info on my current professional science acitivities including ultrahighfield-MRI of the heart, artificial intelligence and high-performance computing, and scientific infrastructures, please see my institutional website at the Comprehensive Heart Failure Center Würzburg (Germany), where I am in the process of of establishing a new translational ultrahighfield MRI research infrastructure, where I am head of the Department of Cardiovascular Imaging and Member of the Board of Directors. Moreover, I am a full professur and head of the Chair of Molecular and Cellular Imaging of the Medical Faculty of Würzburg University.
